New York Times Magazine Covers conveying the emotion of loneliness through assymetrical composition and type treatment.
Project 1: VCD “Why It’s So Lonely”
9” x 11”
Design 166
Cover 1 previous iterations, developed through feedback from TA’s, peers, and professors.
Created thumbnails to generate ideas and plan for shoots. Based on feedback received during 166, I tried to shoot photos more on theme for the New York Times Magazine, and convey loneliness a lot more than my previous design.
Cover 2 iterations that I went through during 166 and while redesigning my portfolio, that I developed based on feedback received in 166.
Cover 2 thumbnails. Based on 166 feedback, I wanted to redesign my cover to be more asymmetrical, and with a better type treatment that was more in line with how the New York Times would design their cover.
